Overview

Journo is a one-stop tour website that simplifies travel planning. Instead of using multiple sites, users can book flights, stays, and activities through curated packages. With clear pricing, helpful insights, and easy filters, Journo makes comparing and booking trips quick and stress-free, so travelers can enjoy the journey, not the hassle.

Context & Challenge

So Many Steps and No Help

Too many options

I have to go through so many websites only to book a tour

How should I compare all these options

Fragmented Booking: Jumping between sites for flights, hotels, and tours is confusing and time-consuming.
Too Many Options: Scattered deals make it easy to miss better offers or key info.
Lack of Clarity: Comparing packages across tabs and platforms is inefficient.
Time-Consuming: Busy travelers struggle to research and finalize plans.
Missed Deals: Exclusive offers often go unnoticed without constant monitoring.

Competitive Analysis

Identifying Gaps and Opportunities in the Online Travel Space

To shape Journo’s value proposition and user experience, we looked at popular travel booking platforms, identifying their strengths and weaknesses.

Personalization Gap: Existing platforms don’t emphasize personalized, “vibe-based” search options, which Journo aims to fill.

All-in-One Packages: Competitors often require users to leave the site for bookings or piece together details themselves. Journo consolidates everything.

Filtering & Comparison: There’s an opportunity to refine filtering (budget, vibe, destination, etc.) and present side-by-side comparisons in a user-friendly way.

There should be a all-in-one solution

Design System & Style Guide

Design System & Style Guide

Building on our structural concepts and user flows, the design process for Journo focused on creating a visually consistent and intuitive experience. Below are the key elements and decisions made:

Brand Identity & Visual Direction

  • Mood Boards: Early boards helped align on a welcoming yet modern aesthetic, setting the tone for a vibrant palette and approachable typography.

  • Color Palette: Selected a clean, fresh color scheme to evoke excitement for travel without overwhelming the interface.

  • Typography & Iconography: Chosen for clarity and readability, ensuring users can quickly grasp important information.
